Renovatio Atelier

We design and build the websites of agencies who sell exceptional property. Classical proportion. Modern engineering.

I  Approach

We begin with an audit,
not a redesign.

Most property websites were built to hold listings rather than to sell them. We start with the site you already own: how it is found, how it reads, how quickly it opens on a phone, and where an enquiry is lost between the photograph and the form.

What follows is a written assessment and a staged proposal, so the work can begin where it matters most.

Proportion is not ornament. It is the reason a page settles before it is read.

Firmness, commodity and delight. Sir Henry Wotton’s English of Vitruvius, The Elements of Architecture, 1624.

II  Method

Three principles govern every page we draw.

1

Engraving of a Doric capital

Sound structure carries everything above it. Semantic markup, one clear hierarchy, and a page that a reader and a search engine understand in the same way.

2

Engraving of an Ionic capital

Measure, scale and interval. Line length set for the eye, photographs cropped to a ratio, and the space between things treated as material rather than as a gap.

3

Engraving of a Corinthian capital

Ornament last, and only where it earns its place. The detail belongs to the property. It never belongs to the interface around it.

III  Foundations

Everything rests on
what is beneath it.

Clean code, compressed images, and a build that opens on a phone in a car park as readily as on a desk. Search engines and answer engines read the same foundation your buyers stand on.

Speed, structured data and legible markup are not features. They are the floor.

An audit takes an hour of your time. What follows is your decision.

Send us the address of your current site. You will receive a written assessment of what is working, what is costing you enquiries, and what we would do about it.
